See All Reviews5-Star Service & Atmosphere. Food Needs a Little More Love. I’m a firm believer in honest reviews, and while the meal itself didn't quite hit the mark, the hospitality here is absolutely top-tier. The Service & Atmosphere: From the moment I walked in, I felt incredibly welcomed. The waitress was polite, efficient, and attentive throughout the meal. I also had the pleasure of speaking with a gentleman who seemed to be the owner; he was extremely personable, accommodating, and made a point to stop and say hello. The diner has a comfortable, classic feel that makes you want to settle in. Service and atmosphere definitely saved the experience for me. The Food: The pricing is very reasonable and the portions are quite generous, though the flavors were a bit pedestrian. I ordered the Spicy Chili Cheese Omelet. The omelet itself was fluffy and well-filled, and while the chili had good flavor, it lacked the promised spice. I opted for fries on the side, but they weren't very crispy and had a generic, "frozen-to-store" taste. On the plus side, the Portuguese roll was toasted perfectly. It wasn't a bad meal by any means, just nothing to rave about. Verdict: I truly appreciated how welcome I was made to feel. I would stop by again to give the kitchen another chance based on the service alone, though I might explore other local options first next time I'm in the area.
Old diner with torn seat backs and service to match. Wife's meal arrived 15 minutes before mine. Both egg dishes. Cook didn't know how to poach eggs. When my Benedict arrived, eggs cooked totally through. Hollandaise sauce was wrong. Sausage wasn't cooked fully. Meal didn't set well in my stomach once home. Wouldn't recommend.
I go here for breakfast every chance i get with my dad, the food is great, people are nice, prices are good, classic diner its a bridgeport staple
